Sometimes, things fall apart.
Our motto at Small Axe Foundation is: Sometimes, things fall apart. At Small Axe, we work directly with local businesses to provide crucial support to single-income families with school-aged children who are struggling financially. We pair these families with plumbers, electricians, contractors, childcare providers and local shops to get the assistance they need when they need it. The application process is simple, and the response time is quick. Small Axe Foundation pays vendors directly for services and products that these at-risk families need, from fixing a broken sink to repairing a car. In this way, Small Axe provides support to needy families and small, local businesses alike. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Small Axe is able to provide direct assistance in a unique way to bridge the often insurmountable financial gap between a fixed income, public assistance, and the demands of raising a family in the Bay Area.

WHAT WE DO
Meaningful Work in Your Community
Community Outreach
Small Axe Foundation works with small, local businesses and vendors to provide crucial support to single-income families with school-aged children. All of Small Axe's resources go towards assisting families living on the brink of homelessness to rebuild their lives one step at a time.
Education
Part of Small Axe's comprehensive approach is to bring knowledge and awareness to marginalized communities. One of our on-going projects is educating youth on the justice system so that they have a better awareness of the ways in which the impoverished are unfairly shuttled through the justice process. To learn more about our Junior Justice Program, please visit our Projects page.
Volunteering
Small Axe Foundation is a fully-incorporated non-profit organization. All donations and grants go towards supporting our communities.
